Conrad...my eldest brother, who was proud, kind hearted, loving, generous and considerate

Created by Ireneprice 5 years ago

I am the youngest of the family and Conrad had already left the family home when I was born.

From a very young age Conrad came back to the family home to visit us on many occasions  - When I was about  6 years old I remember sitting in rhe kitchen of the family home with our mother, when suddenly the back door opened and there stood Con as tall as the door frame dressed from head to foot in his leathers with helmet in hand and he would say "Hello Irene" in his deep voice and before I knew it he had swooped me up in his arms and would give  me a huge hug and make such a fuss of me.  I could even smell the petrol from his motor bike.  This was Conrad always a smile a gentle laugh and a big hug.

One of the stories our mother would tell me is that one day Conrad decided to wander off down the lane and our mother frantically running to look for him only to find him sat on the kerb in the next street tinkering wth somebody's motor bike...his fascination and passion for motor bikes truly started then.

When I had my children Eleanor, Rachael Sarah and Rebecca Conrad also treated them like he treated me with his generous nature and big hugs..my. girls fhought and still think he is wonderful..

Conrad, you will never be forgotten and we will always love you as you loved us we will always be thinking of you..Rest in peace your youngest sister Irene xxx
